I know this sounds crazy and contrary to what the definition of "pronoun" is but like apparently according to my roommate's theater major friend who got high in our dorm lounge last night "Jeff" is a totally new part of speech. "I" refers to the self, "You" to the person/character being spoken to, "he/she/it" to another character on stage not being addressed, "chat" to cross the fourth wall to address the audience (Shakespeare was known to do this a lot so it's not new) and Jeff to refer to Jeff, wherever he is, regardless of if he is on stage or off stage at all. That's a completely new pronoun!! I know it sounds like a noun but it's actually a pronoun!
I'm not sure if I have a good enough understanding of the context here to rule on whether or not Jeff makes sense as a pronoun -- I haven't seen enough usage. I do think, however, that Karen would almost certainly qualify for this.
