I always over-research everything, but if I'm ever confused I can always just see which one the Republicans and Libertarians like and know to avoid that.

One time I saw a anti-tax guy try to explain that lowering taxes was bad because accepting any taxes was an unacceptable endorsement and legitimation of the concept of taxation.
This was a libertarian explaining why he wasn't voting for the libertarian candidate in his local election.
And since Howard Jarvis is head of the local HOA, the measure is defeated 22-3 and then someone on the local FB group complains about the quality of schools.
