i used to work in noa game testing. pay was dogshit and they happily used contractors that would routinely lay people off for a month, with the explicit expectation that they would rely on state unemployment subsidies, right before they were continuously employed long enough to legally merit benefits. like clockwork. this was like 16 years ago! they were never good!
