This started out as a haha-wouldn't-it-be-funny-if/I'll-bang-it-out-in-a-week gag project but because I can't help myself it ended up snowballing into an halfway-decent retro arcade game.

Inspired (loosely) by the low-budget Japan-only Famicom game A Week of Garfield, from which it gets its music and many of its assets. (I quickly gave up trying to match the look and feel of that game though because it seemed like it would be a lot of effort for the payoff of 'I made a game that is unpleasant to play and to look at.')

UPDATE: I figured out GX.games' leaderboard functionality and now you can play A Week of the New Garfield in SERIOUS RANKED COMPETITIVE MODE (click here) (also this was causing a bug on gameover and I fixed it)
