"May the 4th" as essentially a brand holiday around Star Wars is cringe and stupid and dumb and bad and dumb and stinky and dumb.

the modern "brand holiday" thing sucks. even in its least threatening "N7 day" form it sucks. you are trying to rework my mental calendar to think of a product for an entire day and you deserve the hague for it

These things were fine when they were like the meme equivalent of dad jokes. As soon as the brand actually gets in on it, it just sucks all the air out. Extremely stinky and dumb
When the actual brands start acknowledging those, my soul takes another kick to the galls, and I become an even worse freak out of spite.
Yep. It's even weirder that it seems recent (like, this didn't come up in the '70s or '80s, to my recollection), and Disney has occasionally pulled the mask off to identify it as a marketing campaign that only benefits them.
