This time it's Louisville against Seattle Sounders; Louisville brought the game into extra time with a goal to make it 2-2 right at the end of regulation. Only game still going on.
Sounders' keeper, Andrew Thomas, was actually our keeper for the back half of last season after our starter got injured. He was, as you can guess by his promotion into the Sounders main squad after having been in their MLSNP team last season before joining us, pretty dang good and a key player in our late run to get just over the playoff line at the end. This might go to penalties, and he should be a really interesting watch.
Already at the 7th round of penalties. This is nuts. Two days in a row?!
Congrats to him on that pen. Hard not to feel like that guy deserves some good results like this with how he played for us, even if it's not a cupset. Unfortunately now I have to figure out if I root for him despite being on an MLS team or against our rivals (Phoenix Rising) in the next round. Whichever I pick, I'll feel dirty
