I can't believe I only just found out this week that Lollypop has an MT-32 soundtrack. I only ever knew the Adlib version, but the MT-32 one sounds great. Really lovely arrangements, and that iconic title tune sounds great.
There remains no single device that instills such an intense yet commingling feeling of equal love (because dangit that thing can put out some real cool sounds) and hate (because, as I've said before, that thing is a fuckin pain in the ass to find, isn't emulated well, and also requires an external mixer to do anything useful with) as the MT-32.
The only thing remotely like it is, well, other Roland pre-soundcanvas synths (like some of their 80s guitar synth hardware).
But dang if it don't sound neat
