It's so incredibly amazing what you can get complete strangers to do for you in a business setting by replying with a corpro-speak version of "I'm just a smol bean plz help". People who reply only in curt half-sentences, commands and brisk requests suddenly transform into full on tutorial guides when you say things like "Hey, check my title, this is way over my pay grade and normal duties, but we're short staffed and I really need to get this done" and now you got another thing to write on your resume for people to say "Wow, you handled all THAT in this role?"
People want to help people. People like sharing their knowledge. Corporate America tells them to build walls between people and guard their knowledge. It's amazing what we can do when we simply ask to break down those walls.
