i've never been to one! i am too shy for the themed dining experience, even those ones where everyone just speaks ye olden style, but maybe that's why it all seems so intriguing to me. the desire of the other... it definitely feels like something i'd expect to see in dublin in the 90s when american imports like "planet hollywood" would suddenly appear as these like, venerated and alien objects, in slightly mangled regional form.
i don't know if BB has ever gone to one - i was thinking about them because i looked up a lot of themed architecture zones as reference for that game and it seemed like the kind of thing SOMEONE would fixate on somehow. it's sort of funnier to me to imagine she's never even seen one in real life and just has this odd received obsession.
