one of those songs where i need to keep pausing to see if something else is playing in another tab

i don't play many things, mostly watch bad movies, my reading is broad but shallow - i like weird outliers but am probably kind of lacking in "the classics" or that kind of stuff esp as i don't have any arts education, i'm kind of a magpie who rummages through things looking for gaudy bricabrac. but i do kind of feel like it's helpful to have a sense of what's useful to you, as a material you wanna work with, whether or not it's always strictly good.

i'm really glad!! finding out about the theresa duncan cd-roms via rhizome was hugely inspirational to me, they really felt like examples of how refreshing it could be to have sensibility alone drive these things without even vestigial progress or challenge trappings. hard to pick a fave but the monica gesue art in chop suey made it the standout for me
