My honest suggestion is to turn off asks and silence people freely (making a pinned post about how you can't take any more of this discourse and are stepping away). A month later, turn asks back on and unsilence those people. Things may be back to normal once you're not a highly-public target.
It's not right you're going through this. At this point people are just throwing themselves into discourse because they love arguing, and both sides are seeing this as an opportunity to virtue-signal.
