Sometimes I imagine that we're rebuilding a modern lore that will help teach the things about living that were withheld from me when I first entered adulthood

I feel like budgeting or cooking or how to clean your kitchen are things that are better taught by friends or family, and making them available to be searched for online leaves too many people in the dark who don't even know what they need to learn in the first place.

A centralized feed hates duplicate content but this knowledge was made durable in previous generations by being copied and repeated and refined tens of thousands of times. Maybe it's okay to have to answer the same question repeatedly. Maybe that's the best way to answer that question.

repetition is the bedrock of existence and i think we lose something (a lot of somethings) when we try to avoid it. however, the repetition must best be intentional! scrolling past the same dumb picture is not intentional, but cooking meals is.
