I've been looking into analog methods of collecting and organizing ideas and things. While I've found some brilliant and useful ones - some already in use, others I've discarded, and more I'll test out - one method that never gets mentioned (and is very critical for me) is to just really really lean into your natural way of thinking.

I don't think in words, so being able to scribble freely has helped me immensely - it's the biggest reason I rely on analog (another being how devices and the internet are sources of unlimited distractions). Sure, styluses exist, but they don't give that specific sensory feedback that gliding a pen on paper does. Plus, a tablet being a device with apps and internet connection significantly decreases my focus.

The only problem with an analog system is that, when the words DO come, my writing can not match the speed they arrive at. Which just means I should probably learn shorthand.
