🐈 CAT — does your oc prefer a wide circle of friends or a few close friends?
Soda has. So many friends. Not just Pyrite and Mercury (though they are some of his closest friends), but more friends than most people can keep up with. He's the sort of guy who will befriend someone just about anywhere he goes, and he's very earnest about it! He's a busy guy, but if you want to hang out, he'll make it happen! Usually through a few rounds of turf, but he can make it work, even if you're not big on that!
🧡 ORANGE HEART — does your oc tend to prioritize family or friends?
Family. It's family. Sorry everyone else, but his family is his main priority in life. He loves his friends, and he will do whatever he can to look out for them, but at the end of the day, he puts his family first. He loves his little sisters more than anything in the world and has a great relationship with his parents. He lives in the city, but tends to go home pretty often to keep up with them—mostly because his sisters are still pretty young and he'd hate to miss out on being a good big brother just because there was a bit of a gap between his birth and theirs! He's also kind of put Pyrite and Mercury in the "honorary family" position, on account of their particularly lackluster relationships of their own... just don't mention it to them so they can reject the idea.
💯 HUNDRED POINTS SYMBOL — share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.
Zi was dumped by his boyfriend at the time when he was still in the hospital while they figured out the extent of his injuries. He doesn't really remember his ex thanks to his memory problems and doesn't really feel like they were that serious looking back on what he does remember, but... the things that were said to him in that hospital room still stick with him to this day.
With his interest in coding and websites, one of the first things he really did after getting settled was make a blog for himself. It acts as a personal journal that he is always careful to add things to that made him happy throughout the day. A lot of the posts detail little things that probably wouldn't matter to most people, but it's very important to him to be able to look back and have reminders of things that happened and the little joys he experienced since he can never be sure what will stay with him.
When he was young, he had a tamagotchi (or whatever the Splatoon equivalent might be) that he always took care of. He had to leave it behind when he joined the army, and he was pretty upset about it! But... what choice did he have? One of the first things his mom showed him when they reunited years after the fact was his old tamagotchi. It wasn't the same pet he'd had back then, but she had been taking care to raise each one in his absence, hoping that taking interest in something he had liked would help make up for all the mistakes she had made raising him. And hoping she'd get the chance to give it back to him some day. He cried a lot about that.
Thank you for asking! And oh! Happy (belated) birthday to you, too!! 🎉
