noticed your profile header is stylized much that of futuristic Y2K aesthetics (which is cool!). what other kinds of inspirations do you draw from in your art?
I've been told that a lot of my art looks like it's from Sonic, which is fair enough because I've been drawing Sonic fan art since elementary school. But I'd say another big inspo of mine is the late Akira Toriyama. I think watching DBZA in 2018 inadvertently leaked into my designs. I was so devastated when I heard of his passing. That man was such a huge inspiration. ;w;
As for backgrounds, you're not gonna believe this, but I take heavy inspiration from the backgrounds of SpongeBob. It uses a lot of detail and outlines that don't necessarily conform to the object. Many of them are also hand painted which I like!
