I love Pūtangitangi / Paradise Shelducks, they're gorgeous and they mate for life, but I didn't realise their chicks were so stripy and fluffy! Bad phone photos because the mother duck does not like it when you get close

Fortunately I'm in no real rush to move out of my current place, just sick of my shitty flatmate. It's to be expected because it's peak flat hunting season with the uni year starting so I guess I'll just hunker for a few months til it calms down and there's less competition. but fuck me its frustrating to go to showing after showing and not even receive an email back saying they've gone with someone else, or having the viewing cancelled on the day of, or just not even getting any responses at all.
