"i have done a couple bad things"
i need them for netrunner! and i wanted to support my local games shop by just getting what they had, but what they were dragon shields that are NOT opaque and i only found out after the fact. bleh!!!!
null signal games has a blog post on sleeves but i'm just curious if anyone here has tried any of these or has further opinions to add.
It's been years since I've used card sleeves (or even played a physical card game), but from my experience, I prefer Dragon Shields to Ultra PROs. They're generally more durable, which means that if you accidentally mash shuffle wrong you only have to deal with the annoyance, and not a torn sleeve. It's been a while, though, so they might have made them better. I never tried KMC Hyper Mattes, but I remember they were seen as the best in terms of usability and consistency of cuts, but my LGS didn't have them. Dragon Shields could have inconsistent cuts, which meant that a 100 pack wouldn't necessarily mean 100 tournament legal sleeves. Again, though, it's been a while.
