I just got a like $40 timex I liked the look of online when I was originally in watch time; I think I had made a list of things I liked aesthetically and then browsed around--iirc a big part of it was looking for a leather NATO band because I wanted to be able to swap them easily (I never have, but maybe if I'm gonna get into them again...) and they have a good practical vibe. I thiiink I just got it off azamon, but I did shop around using google and the characteristics I wanted.
Someday I wanna get a extra thin profile watch, but they tend to be an Investment. I do want skinny to the max against my wrist someday tho!
I fell down a watch rabbit hole yesterday that started with me looking for a new band and ended with me stopping because it was making me want a new watch: check out Swatch watches! There are lots of good cute fun options as well as more plain ones and the prices are pretty good for a basic but Still Quite Nice watch. The super thin ones have me 👀👀 but I also like NATO bands so I'd need a adapter....

they're so cute and fun!! Plus, they're very readable. Lots of fancy watches I will Never Own (price aside lmao), because they have like Six dials and a little rollybob and you can't even see the hands at first glance!
I also saw Withings watches, which are like baby smart watches, but the babiest one that's basically a analog watch with a dial for pulse (and bluetooth for sleep tracking n stuff!) and thus my favorite was giving me discontinued vibe [also a pulse reading watch can't use NATO bands]
UH OH the art collection is killing me. i do not NEED a "treachery of images" swatch but the idea of having one is so funny to me omg. like i will look at my wrist and go "ah, this is but a representation of time! 😌" constantly. oh i'm having trouble not laughing right now

yessssss. Some of the Wild ones kinda only work if you like,,, can afford several and use them to thematically accesorize. Thankfully this means I can stick to drooling over the more tame ones. But if I had too much money for only watches? Boyyy would it be funnnn
i ended up splurging on both because........ well, just because. i felt like both sparked joy for different reasons and the month just started so uhhh there goes my discretionary spending budget!!!
i also looked at the withings and if you're referring to the move... gosh it looked so nice, incredibly affordable, and that battery life was amazing if true... pour one out 🥲
