The Asks inbox on @zenoverflow is now open for your submissions. Send us your favorite out-of-context phrases on Stack Overflow and similar sites across the network (see below).
We're planning to use Asks in an unintended(?) manner; while we'll use the inbox to accept submissions, we won't be using the rest of the Asks system to make posts. We'll instead make our posts the usual way.
If we use your submission, we'll credit you in the post. If you don't want credit, send an anonymous Ask.
What makes a great @zenoverflow submission?
- Include a link to the question or answer you are sourcing from. Use the "Share" link under the question or answer, to the left of the author information.
- Quote the part you think is funny out-of-context. If it's part of a comment on the question or answer, let us know.
- Include any additional context you think we might not have as we review your submission.
Alternatively, if you want to commit your own CSS crimes, feel free to do so and send us a link to your post. If we'd otherwise use it on our profile, we'll share it.
The @zenoverflow mods may modify or reject submissions based on our judgment.
Which sites does @zenoverflow focus on?
While we believe the best content comes from exasperated programmers seeking a last resort and the answers that arrive to their rescue, we pull context-free quotes from a number of Stack Exchange sites, including Server Fault and Unix & Linux. We recommend sticking to sites listed under the Technology tab on the Stack Exchange sites list which are not specific to a particular company or related to cryptocurrency.
