"i have done a couple bad things"

number of years i have lived on this earth
over 30

after i finally became employed again, i fell off reading for a while. but i'm back baby

a few weeks ago i read pachinko in, like, a weekend. i did hardly anything else that weekend. wow. i really loved how compassionate the writing was. min jin lee's style reminded me of what i love about atticus finch's style too. idk if it's for everyone but it just cuts right into my soul. hurts so good.

coming off that, a friend recommended becky chambers and the wayfarers series. so i made my way through that in like a week and it was fun and pulpy and gay and mostly feel-good with a little make-u-think politics in there.

in the last few days i whipped my way through the imperial radch trilogy by ann leckie. it took a little while for me to get into it but once i did, i just kept going, and now it's over and i miss the characters. currently reading provenance as, like, consolation.

it's been a good long while since i went through an SF phase in earnest and i've been having fun.

ooh, Pachinko is what my book club is reading for next month so this is exciting news. All the more eexciting for you saying this in the same post as one where you talk about like Chambers and Leckie. This is a good list of books you've been into imo
