i've been experimenting with not complaining lately — which really means catching myself when i am complaining, because it's such a reflexive response. it's tough! often i only realize i'm complaining after i start talking or typing and take note of the attitude/tone of my expression.
the cool thing about not complaining is that it opens up space for doing... literally anything else. even if i still feel a way, like frustrated or grumpy, there are still actions i can take beyond complaining. and this is actually very freeing for me! it means that the feedback loop created by complaining can be broken by simply choosing to do something other than complain.
