I eschew both reductionism and holism. There are only formless intentionalities which gain form through the process of correlation. These intentionalities are neither object nor subject, they have no boundaries, but they can understand themselves and others as having any of those properties through the chaotic play of correlations. The head/neck boundary may change depending on the utility of it. A person may view themselves as a subject in a particular society due to the history of the society and/or the individual.

Being formless and open, intentionalities deny any kind of scientific or idealist reductionism. Any kind of division in them, necessary for an atomism or subjectivism, is accidental. Likewise a holistic essentialism is impossible, for if any property is accidental then a unifying essence is not possible.
