i should share my comments styles? i think they are very nice. i've been using an arc boosts for my customization but stylus would be a way better way to share.

making the mock for the preview took so much longer than copying the styles over. i've never put anything on userstyles though so can someone please tell me if i did it right and if this is usable for other people??? thanks!!!

edit: the screenshot says "WRAPS" in a situation where the text explicitly does not wrap, it is truncated. i am sorry and i promise to do better

edit 2: 🚨 note for firefox users!!! this style makes judicious use of the :has selector, so if you use firefox, you'll need to enable the layout.css.has-selector.enabled flag in order for this CSS to work.

what the hell is an arc boost [2 minutes of googling later] oh okay it's a browser that claims to be better than the rest but i have no way of proving this since they only have a front page and their 'try it' link goes to a form where you can sign up for their private beta. cool woozy smiley

this is a good style, at the very least

whoops yeah sorry >_< here's an invite if you're on macos and want to try it out (it's currently macos only) https://arc.net/gift/461b3793

arc is yet another chrome derivative, what they call a "boost" is actually a way to create and edit a very simple chrome extension within the browser itself. which is a neat idea but it's also buggy as hell right now (e.g. as soon as i tried to modularize my stylesheets, i could no longer edit in the browser, which just reintroduced all the friction). idk enough about chrome extensions to say whether there's anything you can get from a boost that you couldn't get from userstyles + userscripts... it's Just Another Way to Do A Thing.

i could say the things i like about it but it mostly boils down to "i use it for work and am way the fuck more organized that way". i know of people who tried it and then went back to customize their daily driver browser to do some of the things they like about it. shrug!!
