"If it were me, I'd have [changed] her design to make [her species] more visually clear" - some internet rando

I post embeds of other peoples' things at @ticky-reposts

filter: invert(70%) sepia(68%) saturate(6213%) hue-rotate(164deg) brightness(101%) contrast(106%);

absolutely despicable behaviour what the fuck

how did I notice? somehow the page triggered macOS' extended dynamic range and instead of clipping to sRGB I got incredibly overblown icons due to the way they were coloured in, fucking phenomenal

in reply to @ticky's post:

I did it once upon a time to colorize the png icons on my portfolio website on mouse hover bc I (still) have no idea how to DO inline svgs myself and bc I decided I wanted to do it after the whole thing was basically done and I didn't care enough to figure it out, but like, with the understanding that it was an awful cursed evil way to do it

Oh yeah I do that too for my witchdice tool. It's the easiest only-css way that I know of to get arbitrary colors out of an icon when it could be either an svg or png // an img or background-image. There are utilities that you give a hex code and they spit out those filter settings.
