out of curiosity, what does the process look like for handling those?
Pretty bog standard. Complainant can reach out with a standard takedown notice per instructions in our Terms of Service. From there, we'll evaluate the takedown for legitimacy (and will push back where we can, though our hands are usually pretty tied) then remove the content and issue a notice.
If it was my Eggbug Holmes adventure, I promise it was strictly based on the out of copyright books
obscure video game that someone has made it their apparent life's goal to eradicate mentions of from the internet. nobody knows who this clown is or why, as far as i'm aware, but if they become aware of it they will file endless DMCA requests to get rid of it
DMCA complainants are required to, like, exist, though. Someone needs to deliberately get sued by them to drag their ass into the light.
