with Olympus’ untimely demise and all the angling I keep doing for a body upgrade to something more prosumer it probably sounds like I regret betting on “the wrong horse” with micro four thirds but I do adore my camera, it takes great shots, I love Olympus’ in-camera JPEG processing, and the lenses are as good as if not better than the Canon gear I used to use, and nigh on half the weight and size
so I am eyeing the recently-released OM System OM-5 with great interest
I feel you I have a small amount of m43 Oly gear and part of me wants this (OM-5 ~= OM-D E-M5 Mk IV?) and another part of me says go Fuji because then you can have X-TRANS!

Oh yeah I'm interested to see where it goes. I'm on foot a lot of the time so size and portability at reasonable image quality is a premium feature, especially with long lenses for wildlife.
I haven't upgraded my body in a while because I've basically been stuck indoors locally for the last almost three years (I do not own a car) but I do hope to be able to continue using the kit I have, with an updated body, for some time once I can go places again.
The OM-1 looks like a nice candidate for me (subject AF is handy) I think, but I'm hesitant to jump the gun on it before I'll even really be able to use it much...
yeah, I could probably get something out of the OM-1's extra features, too, but I'm not sure I'm prepared to pay that much for the camera body at this point in my photographic journey
yeah they sold off the camera business a couple of years back, the successor company is "OM Digital Solutions"
