honestly at this point I demand that all of my electronic devices have different levels of toast on the touchscreen
this is one step higher on the bullshit scale than the transparent toaster i gave up on trying to clean and donated to urban ore

if there's one thing i know electronic devices love, it's being in close proximity to rapid heating
as someone whose apartment has an oven with a microcontroller panel directly above the oven, which has had to be replaced at least once due to dying of heat, lol
right in there with those Bluetooth kitchen devices with no controls that will not function without an app (that will probably stop being maintained at some point)
"fancy toaster that oppresses you" is literally a cory doctrow story why would anyone think this was a good idea
