mine has apparently forgotten how to connect to wifi since last year and i'm considering removing the smartkit module and replacing it with one of these https://www.tindie.com/products/smartlightme/wifi-dongle-for-air-conditioners-midea-electrolux/
that or for some reason it can't connect to/through the aruba instanton AP i'm using now that replaced my old router. it is not diagnosable
yeah, ever since I learned the pinout of the wireless module (they produce it separately so they don't have to FCC every air conditioner, just the module) I've been tempted to reverse engineer it and replace it with a raspberry pi zero or something, it's probably using SPI or something similar
