Hey! I am going to London (the real one) in a few weeks and I am seeking some PAL-exclusive games plus whatever else tickles my fancy. Does anyone have any recommendations for where I should hit up?

I'll also be in Edinburgh and Dublin during my two weeks I am on the two islands, so tips for there too are appreciated.

Also if you're in those three cities and want to meet up, let me know and I'll see what I can do. :)

As an Edinburgh semi-local, good luck getting anywhere fast during the fringe. There's a bunch of CEX locations here (if a bit pricy on some systems. PS3 is remarkably cheap last time I was there), you could try the old town for gameshops, if you're lucky, the charity shops MIGHT have some old games but tbh they've probably already been picked up and flipped by those annoying YT retro game flippers.

Computer Entertainment Exchange I think. They do games, dvds, Blu-rays, pre-owned phones, some general computer stuff. The dvds tend to be pretty cheap though. It is pronounced "Sex" because they are edgy like that.

CEX are basically the only game in town for physical locations for videogames now, even the one dedicated videogame store we had left is dropping actual game sales. any store that might've dedicated itself to old games has moved entirely to ebay or the occasional retro market that happens, though those are mostly in smaller cities. there's also SBS and cash converters for other second hand chains but they've been trimming down their games sections lately and focusing more on hardware. their prices are generally pretty fair though, £10-30 for wiis and ps2s that CEX will ask £100+ for.

games wise even CEX is good for PS2 era stuff and up. some of the more in demand stuff will be priced up but not in unreasonable ways, i'm not surprised that my local store wants £25 for a copy of rogue galaxy or disgaia 1 for example. the other chains you can find good stuff if you go digging too, my copy of gran turismo concept tokyo/geneva for ps2 came from an SBS for £1 and is full collectors condition.

In Dublin, as others have mentioned there's several CEX branches that'll have games to browse through. It's a general trade in shop, so they'll have much more recent stuff but there's a lot in there.
But there's also a shop in templebar called RAGE (Record, Art and Game Emporium) that's more dedicated to retro games in good condition. It's a bit pricier because of that but definitely good for browsing!
