what's the difference between an utaite and a vsinger, anyway? is a vsinger just an utaite with a live2d avatar? do they also have to stream? or is there no difference at all?

AFAIK the use of the avatar is the only difference. Vsinger as a term is also quite new, especially compared to utaite. Personally, I'd say Vsingers are a specific kind of utaite, similar to how a "youtaite" is just an utaite that's on youtube rather than nnd.
