i love ui design! i like it a lot more than most devs i've met! but also jesus christ this thing is like five menus that all need to have completely correct concurrent information and interact with one another in a variety of ways to allow for different use cases all while consistently validating whether the current deck is playable

I’m in this mode too right now and also love it, but constantly feel like there Must Be a Better Way
Right? Like it's always so fiddly making sure everything's constantly updated to the right information and that it handles every possible state gracefully
coming from web dev, which is mostly ui and has so many weird concerns, the answer is that there unfortunately really is not a better way, just a collection of reasonably good ways that seem great until you inevitably reach the more common than you’d expect situation where it works awfully ;-;
