i guess it's kind of evil but it's sort of funny to me seeing a friend tryhard and speedrun an entire ff14 burnout arc in like 1 expansion. this is what healing does to an mf
healing in mmos is fascinating to me because it's a legacy mechanic that everyone is convinced is necessary but mmos aren't the same genre they were 20 years ago

so when i say i think it's kinda funny seeing my friend go through it it's in a very sympathetic way. you can think about how the game is cool and you wanna get better and learn more but eventually if you heal too long and can't get some kind of release from it you'll realize nothing matters. and at first that's the worst feeling in the world but maybe he'll someday make the final leg of the journey and realize that nothing matters (cool thumbs up treasure master kid).
honestly people watch guides because they get all intimidated by not knowing what to do but it leads to this scenario where they think they know what to do but then they fail at that some amount of times and get frustrated. at least when you don't know what's going on almost anything can feel like it might be progress
