i think i liked this more than ever. i remember seeing some people who said it was kind of corny when all the english-speakers first got to see it (i remember going with jason and jamaal...) but i'm pretty sure now those are the best parts. the kids are fucking gremlins ("we're not touching anything, just looking!"), the most famous fighter in cyberspace is a 13 year old furry, and all the adults are always bickering. at the same time the OZ stuff feels painfully on the nose even though after the first half it's off by about 20 or 30 degrees in a nonsensical direction. but that idea of a technological apocalypse where everything starts malfunctioning in a deeply inconvenient and annoying way because certain people hooked everything up to the same website really hits these days. it's certainly not a subtle movie, which makes it a lot funnier that kenji's hijacked avatar looks like cartoon joker mickey mouse

also you know there'd be like 8 digits or so of people giving their accounts to love machine at the end just because they think it's funny
