i was "too old" for these but i did play some pbps and a lot of mafia, some of those had an enjoyable amount of rp
Oh man, yeah, I also had some weirdly-rp-heavy mafia games sprinkled in there too (much more recently (relatively speaking) than the aforementioned elemental wolf rps)
I was 100% thinking about RPs I participated in on Neopets and later Barton Town, lmao.
I actually went lurking on there last week when the nostalgia got to be too much and definitely saw at least one thread where I was like oh you guys are all at LEAST in your mid 20s lol. It definitely got my wheels turning… there’s nothing stopping me from re-learning HTML and doing some cringe RP…

i'm pretty sure barton town's archive has never actually been purged and i could dig up the ANCIENT RELICS from like 2009. or at least i could the last time i checked-- oh... like 10 years ago now whoops. maybe it's been wiped now
