So I haven't seen anyone talking about this publically ANYWHERE but Nidus was a game I ended up pretty into very very late last IGF (way after I posted my big post). It's a "twin stick shooter" where the twist is that each of your control sticks is controlling a different thing!

You have a "flower" that serves as your hitbox an a "bee" that serves as your attack vector. Fly the bee at enemies to kill them, keep the flower away from bullets and other bad things and remember to bring it energy occasionally. But wait - your flower can also lock-on to enemies nearby to make them vulnerable, and dashing your bee through the flower can power up its attacks!

The result is a game that plays more like a dance than anything else I've ever expereinced. It's a blast and it's gorgeous. Also if controlling two things at once sounds like a lot, you can play it local co-op with two people instead!

Really big recommend if you're into the arena shooter survival type thing. Guess when it comes out? LITERALLY TOMORROW
