find an open space with good wildflower coverage and you're likely to see dozens, (hundreds, if you're lucky, or even thousands, if you're out there for a really long time) of green darners (Anax junius) on their way south from canada. and for the birdwatchers out there, you might also spy american kestrels (Falco sparverius), which seem to migrate together with the darners.
