It's finally time to publish my masterpiece, "Pride and Steamboat Willie and Prejudice and Zombies."
"That fellow, the 'consulting detective,'" said Jane, "he is warmer than I would have expected. He's a man capable of human connection and empathy."
"Yes," agreed Elizabeth. "I was struck by how much he is able to express emotions, and I sense that he is in the process of beginning to respect women."
"He also seems to have a great interest in dogs," noted Mary. "Although... on that subject, he did seem very confident that the bites on that poor man's body were not made by a dog... but a human." She shuddered.
Steamboat Willie picked up a swan and began playing it like a set of bagpipes. This may have been his way of agreeing, or it may have been entirely unrelated to the Bennet sisters' conversation; they didn't have an especially good read on the oversized mouse just yet.
