Been messing around making a new generative patch on my Iridium. A couple of the new features of the recent firmware update really inspired me. At any point in this, all you're ever hearing is a single note held down. This was a live manipulated patch done in one take. This is only the Iridium and nothing else. Everything was recorded to tape. I really have enjoyed how this patch has come along. I hope y'all like it! :D

So I wanted to have a play feeling out the JD-990 more as well as try out its "performance mode" which is basically its multi-timberal mode with up to 8 parts. I get such big Sound Canvas vibes from this, but infinitely better. That makes sense because the Sound Canvas' waveform list borrows heavily if not entirely from Roland's JD and JV synths at the time since it was just meant to be a General MIDI (GM) box. I've heard the Sound Canvas is basically a stripped down JV1080 that you can't really edit. I know the JD990 contains many of the waves in the 1080, so I was curious to see if I could capture some of those DOS vibes! :D PS - This audio is more or less raw audio from the 990. I really haven't touched it much.
