if they have RSS/Atom/JSON feeds, etc, and you can afford to pay an indie creator for a hosted service, I highly recommend Feedbin. It’s a great site, works well on the web and via its own native app, and its API is supported by many feed reader apps. It has decent integrations with other services and has the ability to define custom integrations (I bookmark a lot of stuff to Raindrop using a simple setup I put in place that way). The creator seems to generally be an okay person (at least I haven’t seen/heard about anything concerning), and the nice thing about “data ownership” with something like feed reading is that while you lose some metadata like read/unread status, you’re always one OPML export away from picking up and moving somewhere else
