Ah, see, I just initially skipped right over someone's CW'd post on the basis of the CW β you know, Working Exactly As Intended! β only to see that it was a reshare of Something They Did Earlier, and the reshare (and tags on the original post, when I scrolled back up to actually read them) made it clear the post is a piece of fiction, with the CW referring to fictional content.
I don't feel up to a post pertaining to the CW, if it was about IRL β potentially about, y'know, things directly suffered by the post author β but I will read fiction with the CW'd content.
...If I can't tell it's fiction, I'm going to fail safe and skip it.
There's a reason why the stuff I slap CWs on is all, like, "CW: fictional whatever", and it's working around exactly this.
(This is, of course, one of the ways in which Cohost is not an ideal venue for posting fiction; which is not a value judgement on it.)
oops i am guilty of this... time to go back and edit my stories and posts lmfao
