where does "The Lord" fit into this????

i can't even argue with this, it's legit just kinda true

Tragedy besets poor ring as it escapes a terrible and evil king, only to fall into the hands of a creature so weak and despicable that it won't even leave a stupid cave. When it finally gets found again it falls into the hands of the most boring group of unadventurous people imaginable, but for some reason are willing to trek all the way across the continent just to murder it.

… I think that might not be a joke?
