for those of you who haven't heard of this company, they've been making "book a demo, speak to a representative" tier hi-fi equipment since the 1950s and a key thing is that their design language has not changed once in over 70 years.

I first heard about them last time I was looking for a good CD player, they used to manufacture a CD transport - that is, no amp included - that started at $12,500 and looks like something out of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

They're also known for making bar-none some of the sexiest looking quarter inch tape recorders ever to this very day, which were like, film production recording equipment for a very long time.

Since all of this stuff was made for, like, Hollywood, NASA, and a few millionaires, you're almost guaranteed to never run into this equipment in real life unless you work in a specific field where the company pays for it.

On the one hand, it's amazing to see a modern company that doesn't produce AliExpress sludge. On the other, it sucks that it costs $12,500 for a CD transport.
