Zhat is bozh very true and very interesting, I've learned some new words :D
american steam trains are laid out very different from euro steam trains and i've seen people get really snobby and snooty about it
i have a (american!) ffriend who hates american steam and thinks british locomotives were better because american ones were "ugly"
