There should be a pre-boot checklist and at least 12 really satisfying knobs, chunky levers, and buttons. Plus some status lights and gauges, and some things that make a faint rising pitch hum as they power up.

The mini dashboard is lovely! I don’t remember the sounds but I’ll have to listen next time I see one
I think they gave the Electric some extra/unique noises on startup because no engine starting which are cute, and I think it has one of those speakers that produces a whine to alert pedestrians to its presence
(not that its a pedestrian's job to have to avoid me, its my job to not hit anyone)
all the minis since BMW bought them have been really nice about this, tbh. very satisfying buttons all around
