I am sad to see it go, but the cohost team has done a good job and I support them in needing a rest and to support themselves.
Thank being said, I don't think I'll ever find a site like this one ever again, it truly is something special and the sense of community here is unmatched by anywhere.

Bluesky is where Ive been the most active, Tumblr Im also active on but its pretty much all reposts. Mastodon I use the most like I would use Cohost, big recomend on critter.cafe for getting me into it although im still getting used to it! If you just want art and updates on my other silly projects, my telegram channel is the best place (until the blog is done)!

Thank you all for supporting me so much on here, nothing will ever top this, yall are amazing and I hope we can find a way to be friends outside of just here when it's all over~

I desperately need help with this! I'd love to set up a blog via my neocities page but I don't know how to do that! Also is there a way to have the RSS auto update when new blog posts are available? Is it not worth the effort? Stressing out about this ;w; I have this set up now! It is VERY WIP but functional
Admittedly, I don't really like using FA. would love to find a better alternative. I have an Itaku also but its just as out of date as FA

Re: RSS: You may want to look into a static site generator if you want to be able to write a post and have an RSS feed automagically updated.

Or, you could use something like RuSShdown to just make an RSS feed as easily as possible and just post "hey I have a new blog post here! link!" instead of trying to shove the whole thing in there.

The rabbit hole only gets deeper from there depending on what kind of features you want.

The timing is crazy haha im actually working on this rn c:
But yeah I used ruSShdown to make a feed but the stuff in my mind is def more rabbit-hole-y xP
Mostly just making it look nice and being able to update it easily or even automatically, having to upload every time to ruSShdown and reupload to neocities sounds like a time barrier that might prevent me from wanting to post, my brain is weird about that stuff TwT

Yeah if you're doing a static site you basically want some sort of script to run and spit out an updated RSS based on your posts. You can write that yourself.... but it's probably easier for a static site generator to do it for you.

I decided to just write the xml by hand and that made it work, now that i understand it that'll make it easier for me to update :)
Will probably look at static site generators at some point but for now this will work probably

Hope you at least made yourself a template to copy paste in as a starting point! Lowering the effort barrier is always good, even if it's tiny bits.
