really glad that Guilty Gear Strive manages to be a game where even I can pick up and play someone like Baiken or Giovanna (badly, but nevertheless with a grasp of my own tools) while also having five-dimensional brain genius characters like Asuka R# or Happy Chaos or Jack-O for the real sickos. I'm actually kind of excited to play against an Asuka because I feel like both of us will be equally confused as to what the hell is going on.
I know on the whole Strive is considered sort of a downgrade in complexity compared to Xrd or +R and yeah, I can see how that'd be disappointing to veterans, but it's a dizzying game from where I'm standing. I never thought I'd have to worry about my opponent top-decking an overhead.
