the problem with contemporary Quake maps is that every time you do a cool trick jump you have to stop and analyze half a dozen subtle aspects of your surroundings (flow, linearity, nearby routes, author's personal style, etc) to figure out whether the author intended it or not

the other problem is that nobody saw it

yeah! and i got one for "secret rock" when i RL into the boundaries of the level in Grendel's blade.

i think in Foggy Bottom i got one by RL to get a red key a "Elephants never forget" and i got confused why.

only after going round and round looking for more secrets i understood i was supossed to use a ramp to get speed to make that jump

When I was making my map I added a bunch of pillars decorating one of the walls, and then realized that I had messed up the best surf wall, and so I broke the middle of some of the pillars so you could surf it again.
