Still mulling over what to do for the front plate of my hitbox. Acrylic sheets seem to be the go-to, and it's easy to order them cut to specification, but it feels kind of tacky and wasteful to build the entire enclosure from recycled materials and then slap a custom-machined, laser-cut piece of plastic on the front.

There's an old PC case in my cupboard that I've considered chopping up, but it doesn't reach the required width (~460mm), and besides, I don't really have the means to do metalworking in my little old apartment.

Wood? Wood would be nice, but it'd have to be thin, and that'd make it fragile as hell. Also I don't have any suitable pieces, unless the landlord approves of me chopping up the furniture.

Fighting games are hard, man. I thought you just needed to be able to push buttons and stuff.
