I love roleplaying characters in any sort of game, but I'm still really slow at reacting to unexpected situations.
Last weekend I was playing a waitress in Arkham Horror, and I ended up using all my mental buffs to metaphorically headbutt a 20 HP Ghoul Priest back into its hell portal.
Everyone was amazed, including me.
A week later I realized I should've played it cool by saying "I work the nightshift, hon."
I know this is a skill that can be learned, but I do not know how to intentionally learn it.
