Do you ever think "is there a gadget that just does [task]?" and feel stupid when you learn that you vastly underestimated the scale and complexity of the problem?
I was wondering if I could get some kind of nondescript little circuit board, probably off AliExpress, that would let my keyboard pretend to be a PS5 controller so I could use it as a makeshift hitbox—but it looks like the solutions are more of a '$100 gamer box with RGB lighting' deal. Tragic.

yeah, this looks like what I'd want if I was building a hitbox -- but unfortunately I do still need the keyboard to act as a keyboard
rgb is a curse. no computer-object can be simple, it has to have glowy lights and 100 special features.
